Think religious-based sex ed always requires us to deny who we are, what we need, and what (or who) brings us pleasure? It doesn’t have to! During this interactive workshop, you’ll collaborate to envision the LGBTQIA-inclusive sexuality education you’d want to experience and share. Facilitator: Melanie Davis, PhD, manager of the Unitarian Universalist Association’s Our Whole Lives Sexuality Education Program. Dr. Davis is an AASECT-certified sexuality counselor, educator, and educator supervisor, an adjunct professor in Widener University’s Center for Human Sexuality Studies, and a partner in the New Jersey Center for Sexual Wellness.
